Dual Channel memory mode

Thread Starter
My motherboard (MSI P35 Neo2-FR) supports Dual Channel memory mode. The manual states that this will improve performance if configured in this manner. I would like to know if there are any disadvantages of configuring memory in this way. I have 2x2GB ram modules.

TIA

dual channel memory mode is recomended over single. its faster and makes the bus wider so i would do it.
