Swiftech H2O-220 Apex Ultra

Thread Starter
Okay i have posted a few time while trying to decide on water cooling, I am going to go with the Swiftech H2O-220 Apex Ultra kit, with the addition of the D-Tek Fuzion V2 Universal CPU Block.

The first question will the tubing that comes with the kit be okay for the new CPU block?

Second question, will that kit be adequate for cooling a Q6600, at the moment I have the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme, on idle i get the following temps (room ambient of 22), 27,30,32,33 and load, 48,49,54,56. Will the kit be as good or better then the air cooling, I have three fans pushing air onto the cooler, and then a push,Pull setup on the cooler!

the 7/16" tube will work for the Fuzion if u get the one with a 1/2" barb. as for cooling, it should be better then what your getting....but who knows i have 480gtx and a fuzion and get worst temps then u at 2.4ghz.

The tubing should be fine. As of the temperatures with the Apex, I'm not sure.

If you're immediately going to replace the Kit's Apogee GT with a Fuzion, then might might consider just purchasing this kit from Petra's:

For a cpu only loop, I would think the MCR220 should give you lower temps than listed above. If you can swing it, switch to the MCR320.

Agreed that kit is only $30 more than the Switech and purchasing a new Fuzion. Actually less considering the above has a better pump.
