By multiple 280s do you mean 2? A 480GTX should probably handle it but it's hard to say since they aren't out yet so we dont' know exactly how much heat they put out.

I personally think component order matters. for instance, lets say theoretically the water temp out of the cpu is at 35*C so thats 35*C hitting the GPU block. Whereas if u had a radiator in between then that 35*C would be lowered to say 30-32*C which would reduce ur GPU temps more.
The only componet that matters is the res., it needs to be before the pump. I don't know your flow rate, but even at a measly 1.5gpm, it's cycling so fast, explain through your vast knowledge of thermodynamics how componet order would matter ?????

I am not qualified to answer that as I did not test what you are asking, sorry.

I can tell you that the setup that posted will Keep an OC'd Q6600 (3.6 on a 780i - currently a different mobo in that build) and an Ultra (685) well within desireable tolerances ~ CPU < 50C @ full load; GPU < 55-60C @ full load... and that is over extended periods of time.

Also, I would place the CPU block directly after the Radiator in a loop.

Thread Starter
I've been lookin at some multi-port reservoirs. EK for instance has a 4 port res that allows 2 pumps to draw from it. Would it hurt temps any if i used 2 separate loops but shared the same somewhat big reservoir? 2 pumps drawing from same reservoir but pushes into diff radiators and blocks.

Good question... I would also like to know for sure.

The current project that I am working on will have the setup you described, and I don't see any reason why a shared Res would effect the loops in a negative manner.... but there is always the "unkown variable".

Does anyone have verifiable info on this question?
