Help Please...(2 out of 4 ATX)

Okay...I got a Bran new PSU and the connecters were like fresh and I plugged it into my 80Gig Maxtor H/d and when I un-plugged it (normally I did not like rip on it) A male ATX connecter came with it...It was sort of okay at first because It got stuck in the Female connector and it would still transfer power...But after awhile (Like a day) another one did it...So now it dos not power on...and there jammed in that ATX connecter...Has anyone broke these prongs off before (I bet someone has) But will this ATX tool help? Because the base of the male conector is still in the back of the H/d...

http://www.moddersmart.com/index.php...product_id=319

My Idea was originally to sadder the ATX wires right into the back of the H/d...But I wouldn’t be able to unplug and plug into anything really...And I’ve never really sodderd anything major and am a little scared lol...(So Id puffer a easier solution)

Please someone help...I cant even power it on long enough to back it up...I was so not Expecting this...And there some stuff I want like 2000 + Songs...And a lot of pics and stuff of me and my G/f...

Thanx to anyone who helps...

This is what I'd do:

I would buy an adapter that has a female plug on it or maybe steal one from a fan you aren't using or something.

Cut off the female molex with some wire to spare, and solder the wire to the hdd leaving a tail.

You'll still have the ability to remove the drive and unplug it, but with a slight tail.

your pictures are kinda bad, so its really hard to tell if it's just a hole there or there is a partial connection.

I don't see you backing it up unless you can power it up, and by the looks of the picture soldering is going to be required.

Unless you send it to be backed up, in which I think they end up destroying the drive that way.

IF you have a steady hand you may be able to pull the plugs from a male molex and put them on individually.. and just push the ground pins in by hand.. that way you can backup the HDD outside of the case. Like I said, its really hard to tell from the blurry pics.

Ya...I took it when I just got out of the shower (Don't worry I had clothes on lol) And I was on my way out the door...so It was a fast pic...and the flash kept making it blur...But the very back where it connects to the chip on the H/d is there..but no connector....

Pull the wires from a male molex.. I would do a spare adapter or something so that you aren't tinkering with your psu. Put the wires on individually and push the ground pins down by hand.
