Same. I could understand having 90 minutes of overall cut scenes that splice between your gameplay in 5 minutes chunks. But single blocks that long would be murder. I would be afraid to play just because I don't feel like clearing my schedule every time I pick up a controller.

haha, i guess this is a fairly bad way to fill up a blu-ray disk, rather than having to spend eons of time and 0's after a 1 with a nice fat $ sign in front of it, making new levels and such; just hire a cheap film director

Once again, these things are rendered in realtime, and don't take up a 1000th of what you think it does.

I'll leave you to Dillard.

I don't see this news being a problem. I don't own a PS3 but 90 minute cutscenes would not deter me from buying this game.

Assuming I did own a PS3, this is how I'd view it:

If I have the time to watch the cutscene and I'm enjoying it, I'll watch it.
If I just want to pick up the game and play it and progress through the game quicker, I'll go online and read what happens in the sequential cutscenes.

It's not a big deal people - you have your options. This game will be great regardless if you want to sit through all the cutscenes or read summarizations elsewhere. There will (if not already) be additions to wikis where you can read all that info.

but multiple 90 minute cutscenes ... too much for me ...

like I said, I doubt there a multiple 90 minute cutscenes. Maybe 1 for either the climax or the ending or both. Infact - I doubt its 90 minutes either and people are exaggerating a 30 minute cutscene.

The intro is like less then 2 minutes. Its on the MGS4 website.

i disagree, mgs titles have always been about epic storylines and they ALWAYS deliver that proud feeling of playing the game through the storyline. I wouldnt miss a second of a cutscene in an mgs game.

no - you people just don't get it do you (or read the entire thread) XD

Cutscenes do NOT take up as much space as you people think it does. The ones that take up space are called FMVs or put basically - VIDEOS. FMVs are normally the PRE-RENDERED cutscenes. Cutscenes that are not pre-rendered but are rendered in-game, DO NOT TAKE UP SPACE.

The reason why they filled up BRD is because of all the content the game has. Metal Gear is known for its amazing sound tracks and sounds.
