Hard drive question & suggestions

Thread Starter
I am going to be building a new PC here soon and I was thinking about putting the Raptor X hard drive in it.

Somebody told me that I should not get a Raptor X and get something else with more storage space because the performance increase on a Raptor X is not that that noticeable.

He mentioned Seagate and Samsung as two different brands to consider and look at. He also said a 500GB hard drive would be a good choice. Do you guys also agree that I won’t notice the performance on a Raptor X hard drive, and I should go for a different hard drive with more space (Since the Raptors only hold up to 150GB)? Also do you guys agree that Seagate and Samsung are good brands to consider? If so are there any particular models you would recommend (from newegg)?

Thanks for any help. I am just looking around for multiple answers from multiple people because this PC I am going to build will be my first build and I want to make sure I get good parts (and this PC is on a $2,000 budget).

the difference with raptors and everything else is that there faster, the hdd spins faster so u could access the data on it much faster, so anything u install on it such as os and games will be faster, but theres others that are fast too

this one is good, plenty of space and speed http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136011
