I'm about to try it, I'll bump it and run ethos I'll be back in about 5 mins, do you know of a how-to for Water cooling? Preferably home made lol I'm poor, and if you don't mind me asking what processor can I buy that I can over clock and get better performance then the one I got with out spending a lot.

I moved the v core to 1.456, its a littler higher then what I want'ed to go on stock heat sink. I'm running orthos now. Its at 57C and if it goes close to 60 I'm going to drop the voltage down, but I would rather start with a high voltage and keep lowering it untill it becomes unstable rather than start low and keep increasing it lol. Actually orthos just ran for 2 mins with out errors so I'm going to lower the voltage a bit.

I was only able to get my old 4200+ to 2.7GHz (11 x 245 FSB) and that was on water. I needed to bump the Vcore up to 1.45v. It was 100% Orthos stable 24Hrs.

If I was to bump the FSB up to 246, there was absolutely no boot, no matter what voltage or RAM tweaking I did. I think it was just the limit for that chip. This was on my Lanparty Ultra-D. (Arguably the best overclocking socket 939 board ever made) Of course you have a socket AM2 board, but I have found the chips to perform equally for the most part.

EDIT- Don't lower your voltage. Keep it at 1.45v. That is fine for that chip.

Well I right now I'm at 250x11 and a decently low voltage. I just cant get my ram to run fast. if I put it on auto or ddr800 it wont post. I was hoping to get it to run ddr1000.

when you raise your reference clock it will raise your ram speed .....set you ram to 667 and see what speed you are running with CPUZ at your 250 Ref Clock

If you want your ram to hit 1000 then I suggest upping your ddr voltage a tad, and loosening the timings.

Also, go to User CP -> Add System and fill in your detailed specs. Its kinda annoying to keep having to read the OP to figure out what you have

i think it is your cpu holding you back on this one.....i know the max ref clock on that board is past 146 and if others are hitting 1000mhz on that ram then it has to be your cpu......unless youa re over looking something in your ram settings
