Sorry for being a bit late, got back logged in other things in life :s
Anyways, this board can handle loads of HTT. I have my ref clock at 267 right now and 5x HTT (1335 HTT) and it handles it great. I have had it even higher too. My board does the same thing when I bump my ddr voltage from 2.175 to 2.2v.. nothing cpu related AT ALL, but as soon as I bump up my voltage, it kicks me in teh arse. I also tried giving a nice bump to both the NB and SB and even with them running at the max (wayy too much, 1.5v) it still didnt fix my issue. I am at a loss. I am fairly certain its something in the bios that disallows any instability in CPU clock and ignores the multiplier. I guess ASUS assumes people will be buying BE cpu's and not OCing Ref Clock and 'crashfree' results in a default multi.
Thats only my hypothesis at this point however.
