Memory clocks and core clocks...

Thread Starter
On a graphics card I know that both memory and core clocks have a significant impact on performance for a graphics card but what I want to know is which of the two clocks have a more significant impact on performance. For example; would you prefer an 8800 gt with clocks such as 780/1900 or one that has 700/2100.

If you were to argue that "both are equally important and each clocks will be more significant in different areas" then in what areas do memory clocks impact the most and in what area do core clocks impact most.

That is a though question. It all depends on the application /game. Some require more memory for better performance, some require high core. I don't think there is a answer here other than personal testing for each case.

This is my 2 cents
