I know its been said before but I need help with my E8400...

I know this has been asked before and I apologize but I am stuck OC'ing this E8400 and havent found help in any of the other E8400 threads. I have exactly whats in my sig and cant sem to be able to get past 3.8 no matter what I do. I upped all voltages and nothing but BSOD's. I know this thing will do it its just a matter of how. Do you guys think that my RAM is holding me back? My VCore now is at 1.26 and no matter what I up it to it wont load windows. It always boots but BSOD after that. Anyone have any advice. Also I do have all power saving disabled and RAM is unlinked...

45nms have a rated tolerance of 1.45V before possible degradation.... 1.4V is relatively safe for OCing - I doubt you'd be able to hit that high of a clock with anything under 1.3V

If heat becomes an issue, get a better cooler... OCZ Vendetta 2, Xigmatek HDT 120,Tuniq Tower are more than enough for E8400s and are only $30-40ish

If raising the voltage doesn't help, consider setting everything to stock and using Memtest to verify that your RAM isn't going

Don't go over 1.365 on the e8400.

As said though you still have room to increase the voltage to try to stabilize your system. and running memtest would rule out your ram if it passes a few passes.
