dont know if this is the right place to post, but...

can i run multiple folding instances on the cpu? i would want them to be for the same team, im folding for evga. also, how does the folding program prevent error filled information from people who fold with unstable OCs?

thanks

Are you doing this on your quad? If so, get the windows or linux SMP client. You only need to run 1 instance and it is for multiple cores. It will automatically stress 4 (check task manager to verify). If you have a unstable overclock it could result in your work being deleted. (Much like errors found in prime95).

Heres some guides.

This one is for 2 instances of WinSMP.

This one is for 2 instances of VMware+Ubuntu. This is faster and more efficient than WinSMP.

Thanks. So obviously, though ur saying it will stress all my cores, two instances is still better? doesnt seem like it would make a difference, but does it on my score?

By running 2 instances (each instance using 2 cores), you'll be able to put out more points per day than just running 1 instance (4 cores total).
