Dead Mobo?

Probably one of the stupidest questions I've ever asked but I would rather someone else confirm before I junk it...

Mobo will not post at all, no beeps. Started when I installed a video card (6800gt, secondary computer). Right after I put it in, tried turning it on, and it beeped angrily at me so I looked in the find I had forgotten to put the Ram back in (hah). Unplugged, press power to clear stray power, inserted memoy, plugged in turned on and no post, no beep.

Tried taking out the video card, clearing CMOS, and plugging into the onboard, no post no beep.

Pulled the RAM again and tried, hoping for a beep, nothing. Pulled the CPU out, hoping for SOMETHING, no beep...

Put it all back in, powered on, put finger against heatsinkless Southbrighe, Ice cold (generally would be warm at least within the first 10 seconds...)

Pulled CPU heatsink (risky...) and powered on with one finger on the heatsink, other on the power switch on PSU, didn't even get luke warm after 30 seconds...

There might be pressure on the back of the motherboard if that makes any difference, got the cables managed behind mobo tray (all of them...) but I doubt it is enough pressure to cause any problems or stress/fractures on the board...

Both power adapters are plugged in, and the PSU was tested to be good with a digital tested, biggest variation was 3.5 on the 3.3 line, which is bad but not bad enough to stop a post beep...

So, dead mobo? I know it's almost too obvious that it is dead...but I would rather have someone else tell me.

It's a peice of crap Foxconn K8M890M2MB-K2RH or something like that, so I don't care too much, I just don't have a replacment handy...

I guess my next question should be, any suggestions for a replacment? Must support at least PC2-6400, at least one PCI-e 16x slot (don't care if it's 2.0 or not), and have some overclockability (I have a 5000x2 Black Edition, would like to take advantage of that unlocked multi if at all possible )

Budget - since this will be just a spare computer for a little CS:S on the side, and folding, preferably no higher than 80

try an out of case installation of the board. perhaps the pressure loosened something and its shorting out on the backside where its hard to see. its a longshot but its better than just throwing it away without trying...

Buy an Asus, they have great tech support.

Get the one in my sig if you dont need SLI, was a great deal and has everything that counts.
