absolute max for a x2 3600 is 3.1 to 3.2 (if you get a golden sample)

Max for me was 2850 mhz (run 2702 mhz 24/7)

thats fine carvin... from 2.0 to 3.0 or even 2.8 is a huge difference.. and will not bottleneck my new video card (Eveg8800GT 512MB) right?

When my x2 rig had a 8800 gts in it my 3dmark 06 score was

9353
3DMarks X2 3600+ @ 2612, 8800 GTS 320m...Aug 16, 2007 23:33 CDT
CPU:AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+GPU:NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB/640MBOS:Microsoft Windows XPBenchmark Settings: Default

But that was with the 8800 GTS oc'd to 660/1065

But with my E6400 at 3.4 ghz and my 8800 GTS oc'd to 660/975 got 11155 marks

9353 is a good score, i'm just saying that a lower clocked gpu with a c2d got 11155 marks

So I'm guessing some bottlenecking even at 2612 mhz (what I had it when I did the run)

I am looking at your video card benchmark from other sites and they seem to be lower then what you got....

And one more question
Lets say i take my CPU to 2.6GHz... Does this mean its as good as the AMD ATHLON x2 5000+ 2.6GHz? or it doesn't work like that....

Well with stock clocks on a stock e6400 my 8800 gts 320 SC (which is slightly overclocked from factory)

I got:
