I need more evidence that these people experience distressing physical pain from wireless signals. If they actually do, I need evidence that they've exhausted every available option to prevent these signals from affecting them.

However...

I understand having a disability, but come on. The city wasn't "discriminating" against them by moving forward with wi-fi access. They make it sound like it was a malicious action with the intent of preventing them from living without the pain they say they experience.

And guys, a little bit more sympathy and understanding would be appreciated. The majority of people with disabilites aren't trying to seek vengeance against people without disabilities; they just want to live life comfortably and without symptoms of whatever plagues them.

Quite a conundrum...

Yeah, but they are not affected by RF and are making this all up to get money. Thats the difference here.

Maybe if people take this serriously everyone that has skin cancer can form a group to try to rally protest against the sun and attempt to get a gigantic dome put around the earth to protect us.

If that's the case, then obviously this is another pointless act of litigation.

If they are actually affected, then remedies need to be sought other than total ban on wireless communications.

The article doesn't question the legitimacy of their problems or the source, so until more definite answers can be found, it's ignorant of anyone to assume these people are making it up.

I've never heard of these guys...very odd. "Allergic" is probably the wrong word though, I don't think you can be allergic to something intangible like a WiFi signal...there needs to be a physical allergan to trigger a reaction, I think. That's what I learned back in college, anyway, but that was a million years ago I suppose...

Bah to that. Obesity is not a disease, it's from eating too much food. Yes yes, there are some people with pituitary problems, or whatever...but we all know that that's not what makes 99.9% of Americans burst out of their pants. No, it's double bacon cheeseburgers; plates of lasagna big enough for a family of four; ice cream that isn't sweet enough, so we mix in a candy bar; pizza with cheese injected into the crust; etc.

I'm overweight, right on the borderline of being technically obese. You won't hear me bithing and moaning about my "disease". I'm too big because I east too much food (because it's good, gosh darn it!); and I like to follow up my food by sitting on my ass and playing video games for a few hours. I own my problem, and I wish more overweight people would do the same.

Anyone remember the movie Crazy People with Dudley Moore writing painfully true ads? The one for the diet clinic is appropriate: "Face it...if you look like this, then you're a big fat pig."

I find it amusing that the "radiation" from the Wifi devices bothers them, but the gamma radiation from the sun is fine and natural sources in the air (radon, etc) and food don't bother them.
This lawsuit, just like many others, needs to be laughed out of court.
