Dude I am sincerely sorry to hear that your x2 hasn't lived up to your expectations and your ~$400 seems to have bought you nothing but frustration but the fanboi-istic commentaries are getting old. If you find that a card(s) from Nvidia suits you better; be happy with it and leave it at that.

For all of you saying this is just a MMO and that it shouldn't take much graphics power to run it...try playing it first. I play AoC with my card (see sig)
OCed to the wall and still only get 15-20 FPS in towns, and 45-60 in instances and when noone else is around with all settings maxxed AA 16xQQ. Thats also with 144mb of system memory turned on in advanced video settings. Without the extra 144mb of system memory my card will not display the highest settings above 5fps, and then reverts to shader 2.0 models. Don't get me wrong, this game isn't Crysis but it does use 100% on one of my CPU cores, another 35% on the second, and about 1.3gbs of RAM, in the towns. If you want to run this game on with all settings maxed, you need a lot of video ram. A 8800GTS will do it with help but a GTX will do it no problem. However if you don't mind playing on medium settings with lower AA, then stick with a 8800GT or GTS.

Get the Nvidia 9800GTX great card can be overclocked alot, and yes since you got it at a such high res 320mb just wont beable to take it, or you could hold off till the GTX260-GTX280 cards, but thats if you want to wait.

HUGE performance boost, well worth the money.
10-15 FPS ***??!?!!?! i get around 35 fps average lowest 25 fps. even in big fire fights it still doesnt go below 25 fps.. thats all setting on high, 1280x1024

You also have a quad, little bit better ram, and those frame rates that I posted with my GTS were on stock clocks too. Forgot to mention that.

Did you read his post? His GTS 320mb ran Crysis on HIGH at ~15-20fps, his 9800GTX run it on VERY HIGH at ~20fps.

Actually, its my old card He traded 2x 8800GTS 512mb cards for it. But when I had it, it was stable as a rock (and got over 18.5k in 3Dmark06 )

I REALLY think this must be a driver/server side problem. There is no way an 8800GTS should be struggling with an MMO.
You want proof? You got it. Ill do videos explaining and prooving my point. W/ fraps running. Im not being a fanboy noob. I just didnt expect this 3870X2 to be a POS

And WTH is with everyone thinking my post was of bashfull intentions. I did no such thing. Im simply having more problems with this card than anyone i know.

the game recommends 512mb of video dedicated memory and since you only have 320mb it probably the problem. You could try dedicating some of your slower system memory to be dedicated for caching textures.

To those of you saying that an mmo shouldn't place this much of a burden on your gpu you have obviously never played Conan. I recommend you review the game before speaking poorly about others decisions.

LOL i dont think quad core makes a difference on crysis. It uses like 37% of my CPU, not a very well coded game i guess.

And yeah overclocking my GTS seems to of added alot of FPS i forgot about that.
