It says PCI-E x16 @ x1. That's not good. But it would explaing my 3DMark06 scores, SM2 2181, HDR 2386, CPU3535.

I wonder why its running at x1?

There should be a setting in the BIOS somewhere. But it definately should not be at 1x. Try a CMOS reset if you can't find the pci-e settings.

The board is crossfire if that makes a diffence. But I am only running one card in the top slot closest to the NB chip. I believe thats the correct slot. Usually is.

I just did a CMOS reset and the problem is still there. I noticed when I boot the computer 2 red lights on the gfx card blink a couple times before it boots.

Try it in the other slot...The top one ssems right...but it might not be.

yeah it is the usual slot. as suggested try the other slot but you really need to get into the bios and correct that setting. spend a bit of time in there getting to know all the settings you`r gonna need em

you do have the gpu powered correctly dont you?

**Problem solved** I didn't have any setting in the BIOS to set the PCIe to x16. So I pulled the card out and put another one I had in, booted up and it showed up as x16. Then I put my 2900XT back in and it worked fine. Maybe something wasn't seated right.

Thanks for your help guys!

I've got another question off the topic of GFX cards. I should post this in a new thread but I'll try hear first.

Whenever I make an overclocking change to my mobo and I do the F10 save and restart, the board shuts down completely then after a few seconds, reboots. But there is nothing on the screen. So after hitting the reset button boots as normal. But so far I have only noticed it doing this when I change speed settings. Anything else it just reboots as normal.

Any ideas?
