constant terminal thingy?

Is there a program in terminal that will have a constant stream of commands or text and never end (maybe a system log or something...) i'm going for a haxor/matrix-esque look

Not really sure why you would want something like that when you can just use one of the many Matrix screensavers.

You could use syslog like you said but you'd probably have to write a simple script and then pipe the syslog command to it so it can run it in real time.

Theres 'cmatrix', if you want a streaming matrix code thing in terminal, I dont use it much, but it does look cool.
