[HELP] New Graphics Card, Look Alright?

So I've got this HP Pavilion desktop computer. It works alright, but it only has a 8500 GT in it. My monitor has a 1920x1200 native resolution and I really want to play the new AoC on medium to high settings in that resolution. I seriously doubt it's possible on the 8500 so I'm looking to buy a new graphics card.

Right now I've kind of decided on a 8800 GT. The power supply the HP comes with is only 300 watts so I'll definitely have to grab a better one, any suggestions? Do you think I could fit it all in the box? Anything else I should look at? I know Nvidia is just about to unveil their new GT280 series, should I wait till then and just suffer through on my 8500?

THANKS!

The 8800GT is a great card - i'm running 2 at the moment in SLI.
People will probably ask you to fill out your system specs under User cp so they know roughly what you're running.

I don't think the 300w stock power supply will handle it, you'll have to look at around 500 ish from a decent vendor.

Good luck with it.

The cheapest GTS I could find comparable with the 8800 GT was an extra $50. How do the two compare?

Also any PSU's I should look into getting? Not really sure what I should look for.

I'm currently running a Corsair 620w but this power supply would more than likely be able to handle your setup:

The Silverstone is a bit out of my price range. The Corsairs look very nice though!

With Shipping:
Corsair 520w - $87
Corsair 620w - $120

I think it would be safer to go with the 620w just in case. Would I have any problems fitting all of this into my HP? So far that's two for the GTS over the GT. I thought as far as "bang for your buck" the GT was better.
