which is better, selling my rig for something different (my bad habit)
budget is limited, and not gonna go intel, I'm die hard on AMD

I have seen different words on this processor, reviews don't have good words, but personal reviews etc i seen some say it is good processor as well as ocing etc.

thanks

Go Phenom Quad 9x50. AMD's tricores are basically quad cores with one core disabled probably because of manufacturing faults. Me also Die hard AMD + ATI user

I wouldn´t take the x3. I would like to taste a Phenom x4 with the TBL bug fixed.
Anyway the X2 5000+ BE is still a good processor IMHO.
And I´m proud to own an amd/ati product too

oh don't get me wrong, I love my 5000+BE, but i want to move on now, cause I done almost anything i can with this thing, (just got the case mod done as well) I'm gonna sacrefise the video card but go for a better base, I 'm really interested in X3 cause no one seen to have it, so i want to see if they actually have something in them, but regardless me isn't rich, so i just need some backup or something to tell me it "maybe" worth the money, i have less interest in X4 cause... I dunno i'm really aiming at a AM3 as my next upgrade,

I think u will get better performance in x3 than x2 if you insist to go for a tricore. But I think 9550 and 9650 are almost priced same as tricores and both x3 and x4 uses now use AM2+ platform. So going to x4 is better than x3.

Elitegroup's 780G is amazing. $100 @ TigerDirect. Anyways i would say go for the Penom x4. They are like $20 more pretty much and an extra core...
