How performance boost will i get from 8800GTS OC 320MB to one of this cards?
Ati 3870 512mb $156
8800GT 512mb $160

Im currently looking at this 3 cards for my upgrade btw my budget is $160. im not really interested buying nvidia or ati new graphic card that are coming out next month because of the price to high, unless there is something under $200 i will wait for next month. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't bother to upgrade to any card out right now since its simply not worth it. your GTS can handle everything fine unless you play at like HD resolutions. Wait for the newer cards.

small boost, i'd wait

I am pretty certain the 8800GT will beat out those other two in most cases. You can find out at Tom's Hardware. Although some people dispute his findings, they are a pretty good compass as to what cards are better at what games.

Personally I recommend not upgrading to those cards and save your money for a better card.

I personally have a 8800gts 320mb clock to 700/1000 and really isn't that much of a difference from my ati 3870 clocked at 900/1246 and I wouldn't recommend going crossfire on your board. I had 2 3870 and wasn't a big performance jump in gaming on my abit ip-35 pro since pci-e lanes are 16x and 4x.

damn i guess going to wait out bit longer then for new card, the reason i ask this question because some one told me i will get big performance boost with 8800gt 512mb over my current gpu.

i believe your 320MB GTS is the bottleneck of your system. If i were you I would go with an 8800GT.

Very good card.

Yeah, i would just wait for the new ones to come out. Your card can handle anything. Have you tried overclocking it? Cause that will give you the same results as buying the others.
