My first Lapping Experience

Thread Starter
So I ordered myself a couple lapping kits and gave it a try...and I did pretty well if I do say so myself

I ordered 2 Lapping Kit's from EasyPCKits.com. I went to Home Depot and got some 220 sand paper and gave it a shot.

I did my TRUE first (sorry about the pic's there from a phone and are a bit fuzzy) I got pretty much a mirror finish on the 2500 paper but it's hard to tell in the photo cause it's fuzzy. Next was my CPU, I put the little plastic cover that came with it on and went to town. Started with 220 to get flat then went to the higher grades to get a close to mirror finish. I with I had a better camera cause I could read the words perfectly on both my CPU and the TRUE.

Let me know how I did hope the pic's aren't that bad.

Ya my idle temps are:28, 28, 24, 28 and my load is 49, 49, 42, 44.

They use to be: 34, 34, 29, 33 idle and 60, 60, 57, 59 Load.

It was worth lapping
