Q6600 is great but it depends on his budget.

I made a similar decision 2 months back and I went with the Q6600 although it was a bit more than the E8400, thought the two extra cores would help me with the multi tasking and 3.6GHz Q6600 was great!

I just noticed this thread after I posted mine. Can someone clearly explain why the duo's outperform the quad's in gaming? And if that's the truth, why do so many gamers still use quad's?
