No reason to replace a 9850 with an Intel. It's a more than capable chip with your set up. Plus, no board will support your video card array.

Yeah, a heavily overclocked Q6700 will beat the 9850, but that's only relevant for benchmark junkies. For real life performance, your CPU is just fine.

AND NOW: Do stay polite to each other. I don't have the time to delete half the posts in random threads.

Thanks.

Intel DX38BT motherboard has 2 PCIe 2.0 16X slots that will run 16x16 crossfire and it has a 3rd PCIe slot that will run 4x - not too big of a decrease in performance with a 3870. Throw a Q9450 on that board and it will force your video cards to SCREAM. My 9850 is clocked as high as I can get it on my K9A2 Platinum board at 2.9GHz stable.

Go to Tiger Direct.com - get a bonetrail board+DDR3 ram+Ghost recon 2 advanced warfighter combo for $229, then look around everywhere for a Q9450 - I picked mine up from Fry's Electronics for $279. Even at stock my intel system was spanking my Overclocked AMD system which is very simliar to yours.
