Download CoreTemp .99 and let us know what the temps say. It's arguably one of the most reliable temp monitors available.

Well, im not going to turn it on again untill i get some thermal paste, but after what happened do you think its ok? I mean i turned it on, then the PC shut itself off. But I turned it back on, and it was ok, but do you think i will lose performance?

Here's what you do: Buy my OCZ Vindicator from me and I'll include a large syringe of Thermalright thermal paste free. I have like 3 syringes anyway and I don't use them. But whatever you do, definitely do not run that computer again without thermal paste.

Um, performance shouldn't be your #1 priority here. Unless you consider "performance" as a working CPU. Excessive heat can damage a CPU, after all.

Get yourself some thermal paste. It's more important than you may think. Application methods vary, find a guide here at OCN or ask someone when you get the paste.

Pentium D's are notorious for running hot. I'm not sure what V-Core you're running at, but if it's above stock by much, that stock HSF may not cut it. I would get something cheap yet effective, like this AC Freezer 7 Pro.

Alright. Good. That makes me feel a little better. I mean, this is my first machine that has been ausome and reliable, and that can handle any game i throw at it! Im sure that if there was any damage done to it, the thing wouldn't start up lol

Have you tried throwing crysis at it?

you should be fine, but for the love of god, never run with no paste + a stock heat sink again!
