Best resolution to play at on a 30inch?

i have a single 8800gtx. What is the best resolution can it give me on a 30inch dell in my sig? I want great performance without compromising quality of graphics too much.

Anything below the native res is going to look rubbish. You really should have thought about games performance before you went and got a 30"

True... I would recommend using FRAPS and testing the resolutions yourself. As long as you keep the counter above 30, you should be fine.

i would say 1920x1200. if you want higher, i think you'd need another GTX

shadowrunner is right youll be fine upto 1920x1080 but if you want toi run at the native res of 25x16 you will need another GTX

not a hope of anything above 1920x1080 (youd be lucky to get there without super lag), you need a second GTX

Yep. Im holding out on SLI for now hearing nehalem wont be doing any so i'm thinking of selling my gtx and getting the 4870X2 when it gets out.
