Video card failing after new build

After putting my new build together I booted up my computer, re-installed windows and noticed distorted video. I ran a bunch of diagnostic tests over night and the video card failed multiple tests most notably video memory. I can't understand it. What really urks me is that even if my video card is the problem, why is that I can't get any video when I try to boot with a different video card?

Have you tried to reseat everything? If your still getting problems with another card I'm willing to bet its a mobo problem.

what thermal paste did you use on the GPU block?

Hopefully nothing conductive.

The only thing I installed was the Intel Chipset Utility as that was the only thing showing up in device manager (SM Bus).
