I got it Q6700 up to 3Ghz, running prime95 now for about an hour. Temps did hit 70c, but staying at 68c. That seems too hot. Did not change any voltages, just got the FSB up to 300Mhz x 10. Core voltage is 1.320.

I am now up to 3.33Ghz, I only changed the CPU PLL to 1.54v and FSB termination to 1.24. FSB I tried 400, but that failed so I went with 333. Running temps are 47, too high I think.

47 idle? Not too bad. Just keep the load temps below 70c. You should try to lower voltage to 1,3 or less. You have 9x333? Try 10x300 - should need a bit less voltage.

The same.. And set the voltage manualy. It will prevent that jumping up and down.

if your MOBO has an LLC or Load Line Calibration option, enable it.

Which voltage is making it run so hot?

Also, I am using speedFan 4.37, I should be looking at the individual cores, right? The temp just for the CPU is always a lot lower, mid 30's.

How do I post screen shots?

If you temp is below 30c with air/watercooling and you are using 65nm quad, then your sensor is lieing. Use HWMonitor/Real Temp /Core Temp.

Oveclocked quad is pretty OK, if idle 40-50 and load below 70c.

E: just voltage dose not make it run hot. But V*A=W You can monitaor your V's but not A's (it is possible)
