When and how much to change vcore?

I'm completely new at this. I don't understand when I should be altering my vcore. Is it when the CPU is getting too hot or unstable? Would I lowering it?

You would raise vcore when you are unstable which in turn makes things get hotter. When it gets too hot, you basically become limited due to temperature. There are a couple of guides sticked in the intel cpu section on oveclocking.

YOu should also add more vcore when you see lagg on start up thats always key to knowing that you need more volts

Yea, goes by instability of apps and booting. Eventually you learn and sense wether it is vcore or some other voltage hindering advancement on your oc.
