Any Assistance Appreciated with my Motherboard - Page 3

Is your BIOS chip removable?
If so you could try a new one.
You will need the tool for removal too.

Kamuirsx, sorry about that. I must of read your last post too fast.

Kamuirsx, I suggested taking out all of the memory and then turning on the board to see if you got any beep codes. I'm sure you'll get positive results from that since you can still get the board to randomly POST after a CMOS clear.
Have you tried 1 stick of memory in each individual slot for troubleshooting purposes? Perhaps this has already been mention (I might of missed it) but have you also tried a different PSU? Your drives are still disconnected correct?

Good luck

Okay you guys are going to love this. So this time I start pulling out components to get my machine to post. I pull out the GPU and I get 1 long 2 short which is what is supposed to happen. I put the GPU back in and it works except this time my main OS HDD isn't found. The power plug was loose on the drive. I push it back into place and restart and I get no post. I unplug the drive and it works fine. So then I move the HDD into a different drive cage. Boom works like a charm now. Does that make any sense to anyone because I got nothing but I'm back up and running for right now.

What's funny is that it's been working for almost 2 weeks now without a problem but now I got issues. At least they are resolved.

KamuiRSX, well I'm glad you solved that problem. That is strange though...perhaps there was a grounding issue with the drive and your case? I've never actually ran into that problem before. Just to be safe though I would run a surface scan on the drive just to make sure any sectors aren't bad. Depending on the brand of your hard drive, you can download the manufactures utility that allows you to boot to a CD and run the diagnostic.

Good luck, glad it's fixed
