hello im having some troubleshooting with the phenom 9500 here my spec
to see what im doing wrong

on the motherboard biostar Ta770 +2
can overclock to 2.67ghz stable at that speed.If you go higher than that it will reset it back to 2.20ghz. Now if you have this board this how you oc it go to oc sec then go to manual. disable coonQuiet then go to ht mult make it go to 2.6ghz then set you ram down to 667 and set your cpu clock to 242

First of all to start with oCing you have to disable CoonNQuiet in the bios and if there is any other speed spectrum disable them also. Then Bring your HT multiplier one step down. Do same with the RAM also. Now start to rais ur Reference clock (Bus speed) to 220-230. If ur system posts then go into OS and do a stability test with prime95 or Orthos. If u are stable then restart and rais ur Bus speed and boot. and do the same.
And keep in touch for further help

If it's not stable, you can most likely attribute it to your vcore being too low. When you start, you probably don't want to push it up 20-30MHz, you should only move it in increments of 5, just in case something does go wrong.

Never take overclocking lightly, I can't iterate on that enough. It is dangerous to your system, so don't just go fooling around with settings. Read, read and read some more.

Did what? OC it? What are you running at now? Is it orthos 8hour priority 9 stable? We need details!!!!!
