Wait, I found the right leds for G15 rev.2

10x PLCC 3528 SMD LED for keys.
4x 0805 SMD SideLED for screen and multimedia buttons.
3x 3mm LED for M1-M3 profile buttons
3x 3mm LED for Num lock, Caps lock and Scroll lock.

Good luck!

Im also finding these LEDS, Maybe in RadioShack

Just for the guys doing this , be easy but firm with the ribbon cables , they seem just to pull out , use a wiggle back and forth (side to side) motion and they come right out , be very careful with the lcd cable it seems more brittle than the others

also if you don't feel like pulling the ribbons , carefully lay the top black rim with the lcd upside down directly to the top of the keyboard and then the lcd pcb boards can be pulled out for the swap , they are along the bottom edge of the keyboard

also , picked up some 5mm led's from radioshack , they were alitte big , spoke with daejavoo and he recommended just to sand a little off the leds to make them fit .

I've never actually touched a G15, so I don't know what the surface is made from. Plastic? Metal?

I'm looking to reface my Merc Stealth. It's made from two different plastics, a semi-matte black (ABS?) plastic body and a glossy (PV+ABS?) plastic top.

Can you outline how you sanded and prepped your G15 case for painting?
What grits? By hand or with a Dremel or something? Wet or dry? Did you polish or buff it?

I'm asking because your pics show a nearly automotive-looking finish, and I hope to achieve the same.
