Looking nice man. Good idea with the scuff pad, I've used something like that in the past.

I need input on the interior color. I was thinking white to offset the rust/iron look for the outside. This will also help the interior show through the bronze acrylic window as well. How about an off-white or 'antique' white? I want the inside to look worn and used, but not be dark like a brown or black. I had pondered the idea of the white with some splatters of a different color. (Splatters as in teh blood effect on the UT3 case someone had built here a few weeks back [sorry I forget your name ])

Input, opinions, ideas?

I think a creamy white would look quite nice, I don't think black would sit very well with the rust effect.

Thanks for the input Coffee, always appreciated! I agree with the above italicized.

I think an off-white or a cream white as you said would look good because it gives the effect of once new white that is now faded and dirty.

I dunno, I don't think I've ever seen anything white in an old industrial setting. It would look good, but I think it might offset the theme a bit.

You know, since you're getting the patina solution anyway, why not go for a rusted look as well? Ok like....the outside is going to look "generally" rusted, right? Like the entire thing was rusting, with heavier spots in some places and stuff. So on the inside, you could have it look like there were some water leaks in there. You could spray that aging solution into a cup or something until you collected enough, then pour a little bit down the places (or use a paintbrush) that you'd want to make it look like it was leaking water.

And you know, if you do that copper pipe thing we talked about that would go absolutely perfectly with it

Yea, I was thinking of 'rusting' the inside as well. There are alot of angles/curves that would give a great effect. I'm worried it will be too dark inside to show out of the window though. It's bronze acrylic which is a bit tinted already. I don't want it to be absolutely black inside, lol. I might put the window up on the case today and see how much light is permitted through.

I am seriously pondering that idea you PM'd me as well

How about a mid-grey. That looks more industrial. Red oxide?
