Random Freezes/Crashes

Thread Starter
Hey, Lately I have been having an issue with my computer totally locking up. I like to say it's random but I do realize computers aren't random and it's cause and effect etc. Anyhow ill describe what Ill be doing at the moment when it will freeze and then ill describe the freeze. For example most recently I was just transferring files from a Pc on my network to my Pc and it froze, my g15 display froze with the time staying the same, screen froze with an image still on it. I cant Ctrl+alt+dlt or anything I am forced to reboot. I know for sure that it never happens when I am typing or when the computer is idling, it happens only when I click a button or activate something etc. Id like to isolate several causes of the problem with your help. Some of my ideas: Ram,Psu,Corrupted Os,Bad software installed.

boot in safe mode and see if it still happens

I know youve taken the oc off, but still run prime 95 for atleast 24 hours, then that would atleast rule out the cpu.

I think it may have something to do with network It only happens when im doing something involving online or transferring files on my network? I booted into safe mode and tried to do my test to see if I could crash it but since its safe mode the WiFi cards drivers didn't load.
