Wired internet connection drops, but still connected?

Thread Starter
I've been having trouble staying connected to Age of Conan and web pages on my new rig (in the sig). After approximately 30 minutes of use, I'll get booted from the game and web pages won't load. However, I'll still be connected in vent and can talk with my friends just fine...

My PC is connected by wired ethernet to a small Netgear router. This router holds my PC, my Macbook and my XBOX 360. When my mentioned problem happens, I can't load web pages on my Macbook either.

The Netgear router (in my room) is getting it's connection from our Linksys router in the living room which has it's direct connection from the modem. The Linksys router holds my roomate's 2 PCs, his XBOX360, my PS3 (wireless), and a line coming to my Netgear router. None of the other devices in this whole network has the issue I have. Also, the problem happens even when only my PC is using the network.

Any ideas?

Un-plug for 30 secs and plug back in and it should fix it. Mine does that too so i just do that. If any has a way to cure it i'm watching.

That's what I do for the time being, and it fixes it temporarily. About 30 minutes later, I'll have to do it again.

I'm running on my Mackbook right now and not having any issues, so I must not have something set right on the PC.

I think you have it setup near something magnetic, like speakers or a big clock radio or something... this was happening to me too, i just moved the router away from them and it was fine, also, make sure you check your router settings:

Type 192.168.1.1 into firefox or IE

...And look for what? It runs fine for a good amount of time and then randomly drops. Restarting the PC itself fixes it until the next drop.
