Optimal router settings for WRT 150-n

Thread Starter
Alrighty, so I recently downloaded the DD-WRT ver. 24 router firmware for my wrt 150-n. This is my first foray into the field of routers (it was just moved to my room from my parents room. They needed more room, and I needed more pieces of technology to tinker with. Bwaha!) and I was wondering what the optimal settings would be. For everything. "Fragmentation Threshold, DDNS, et cetera." I'd like to improve wireless speed, but mostly now, I'd like to improve the speed of my wired connection.

So, any tips=much love! (Where love=rep.)

Honestly runnign DD-WRT at "default" settings is going to give you maximum transmit speeds. All of the other features of the firmware are for monitiroing, administaration, and other special circumstances. Most settings on a router (such as encryption, QoS, etc) slow the speed down (not noticably). The best thing you can do is break out good old google, read up on the settings offered to you, figure out what you think will work well, and tinker with it. Just make sure you know how to reset your router to factory defaults, so when you bunk it you can get it back running .
