More Ballistix Dying - Page 2

Ballistix seems to be dying on me as well. Two computers I've built in the last couple months have fallen victim of a faulty Ballistix 1GB PC6400. I have a 2x2 kit in the mail for myself and considering I had many other viable options in the same price range, I sure hope they turn out to be reliable.

My sig rig up until very recently had 4x1GB of the double-sided Tracers which worked very well for many months despite some noobish overclocking adventures. I distributed my Tracers to get the faulty (mentioned above) rigs going and ordered the 2x2 kit to replace them.

I've used Crucial memory in almost every machine I've ever built but from experience and what I've been reading around here, it might be time for change.

I got my first BSOD on my underclocked DDR2 1066 Tracer 2x2GB kit...

Sad.

Many problems with P35/X38 chipset & Ballistix. Crucial is going down the tubes and they are trying to cover it up. They did start using one sided chips.
