Computer doesnt work, help!

My computer was working fine yesterday, and when i switched it on todAY i got a hardrive error on bootup, my harddisk makes a clicking sound and then error saying 'harddisc bootup error please restart computer'. ive tryed different sata cable and [port, power lead, and cmos reset, is the harddrive nakered? its a 500gb hitatchi not even that old. Thnks for the help

I'm not to sure about the problem, but did you try putting in your OS disc and reinstalling it?
