Cooling question regarding the Q6700

Thread Starter
I've been using the original Intel fan supplied with the Q6700. It's usually around 2500rpm and it's pretty noisy (at least for me). Does anybody know a fanless cooler for the Q6700? There are some for all 775 sockets, but I can't be sure whether they'll be enough for a quad core. If there's no such thing, then which fan would you suggest? Very low noise and a max price of $100 would be nice.

Thanks!

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme.

Without a fan.

It'll be significantly better than your stock cooler.

Add a fan ...

And it will be the best cooling you can get with air.

An IFX with a 140 fan is very quiet and puts out decent air.A Scythe 1600 rpm Sflex 120 is also pretty quiet. The 1900rpm ones are bit louder. They make ones under 1600rpm but havent used them.
