Please let me know what you guys think Thanks
I know we have different cards all together, but if you're playing BF2, it shouldn't be getting that hot--with my fan on 40% max speed, my card only gets to about 60C. So I second the idea that it's your temps causing this. Did you try setting your fan to max speed before going into a game and see how this helps? It might.

Put the fan on 100 % with riva tuner and get a compressed air can blow all the dust out of the heat sink and fan on it. That should help a bit.

I hated rivatuner when i used it last but maybe ill try that, Right now idle my card is 62C doing absolutely nothing. I dont know why i am under the impression my temps were good at 80 c. I might have even had a thread idk, but this is bs why would i have to buy another video card if the one i got now dont work right, i should have to buy aftermarket cooler to use my vid card this is crazy.

I have to go back to the heat issue and whether it is an issue because to me something dont make sense.

For example if i sit down turn on my pc load bf2 and there are leopard spots all i do is exit out and relaunch bf2 then its OK and i game at 80 c max trouble free for hours usually a minimum of 90 minutes and i never never have a problem. i either load up and see the issue or there is no issue. It doesnt gradually increase the leapord spots or anything there there there not there

It's not really crazy at all to buy an aftermarket cooler, alot of people have to. The coolers that come with the cards are usually cheap and dont cool very good even when they are new, they also like to go out alot or the fan starts making noise so people replace them with way better aftermarket cooling. You dont have to buy a new video card just a new cooler and there are cheaper ones out there than that big hunk of metal they posted. Either way you can buy one or just wait for your graphics card to die early because you didn't get good cooling for it. 80c is extremly hot and the max safe load temps you want are under 65c anything over that is very bad. My graphics cards came with good cooling heatsinks and the case I have helps keep them cool aswell. They load at under 45c in games and thats overclocked.

Im gonna install riva tuner and see what the fan speed is and also adjust it and see if i have more reasonable temps. i still find it wierd though it is only there when i first get in game and usually if i exit out there is no issues for hours or playing

I couldnt help but rep you for your title name. I though someone panted the card lepord spotty.. Anyway That called artifacts and its not good. It means the memory is over heating.

Ok so it is familiar , well i just tried rivatuner and upped the fan to 100% its kinda loud but even more important it didnt drop the temp much at all. Nothing like what the guys are talking about It seems to idle now at id say 56 as opposed to about 62 C idk if i should try to reseat this baby or just get a hs but id ont really want to spend the$$ everyone said not even to buy this card cause it wasnt that great. all i wanted to do was play bf2.

I hate to sound like a broken record but again whjy when i start a game it is there but if i simply quit and go back i can play for hours straight trouble free. UIf it weere overheating wouldnt i have solid problems all night ?? not just when i first started to play. IDK if someone could make sense out of that it would be nice, if not i might just rma the card or something idk.

Whats up fellas Im trying to use rivatuner just to control the fan , it doesnt stay on what i set it to though. If i set 100% it will either change back within a few seconds or i guess minutes . I will jump in game then check it and it will be lowered .

Anyone know why.
