Help me pick out some fans

Thread Starter
Well the warmer months are setting in and I want to make sure my system stay somewhat cool. Right now all I have in my P182 is all the stock fans + two fans to make a wind tunnel but the one is dying and moves pretty slowly.

I'm looking for one maybe two 120mm fans for my top hd cage and a 60mm fan for my 780i. I've also been looking at those Skythe Karma Bay's but they take up 3 5.25 drive bays? I have two dvd burners so I only have two bays left, are there any intake fans I can get to fit two 5.25 drive bays?

The last two things I'm looking around for (not sure if they are worth it) are an pci cooler for my bottom 8800 and two hard drive coolers.

I'm gonna be ordering this stuff from newegg.

Though all around great for hardware, I personally wouldn't suggest Newegg for things like fans.... they overcharge a bit and the shipping kills...Try Jab-tech or xoxide...

Yate Loon 120s are killer fans, reasonably cheap ($3.50+shipping) and come in 3 different speeds... If you're OK with spending a bit more, check out the Scythe Slipstreams - they offer a bit better of CFM:dBA than Yates, but at a decent bump in cost...

As for your 60mm replacement, why not consider a new chipset cooler altogether? HR-05 SLI/IFX would do great and can accomodate 80mm fans... but if a 60mm is the way you want to go then get a Panaflow if you want power or a Vantec Stealth for silence

Lastly, I don't know of any 2 slot alternatives to the Kama bay... either suck up and lose a DVD drive or mod one yourself (a 92mm should fit)

Noctua fans have a good dba to CFM ratio but they cost a fair bit ;\\
