Not really. It's based on the older 90nm technology, so it uses significantly more power and runs hotter, but it also has twice the L2 cache, and you can give it more vcore before it "blows up." During benchmarks I've seen, the Brisbanes and Windsors all perform on par with each other, just the Brisbanes may overclock slightly better (not by much) and use less power (always a good thing).

Yea, the Brisbane OC's a little better, mainly because it does not get as hot as the Windsor cores, due to the lower watts and 65nm technology that the Brisbane has.
I have both, and the Windsor 4200+ runs hotter stock (2.2ghz) than my Brisbane 3600+ (OC to 2.4ghz) by 2 to 3 degrees, but the Brisbane does have a little better cooler on it.

Good chip, but buying thinking your getting Brisbane and not does suck.
