New HW - DET DRAM?

Thread Starter
After recieving my new HW, I need help searching for the faults.

MB: ASUS Maximus Formula
PSU: Toughpower 750W
RAM: OCZ FlexXLC 1150MHz
CPU: E4400 (borrowed from a friend)

During the boot it says on the LCD display: CPU INIT-> DET DRAM -----------------------

It hangs on to the DET DRAM.

Could it be the RAM that is not supported by MB?

IT says, on ASUS' pages that the MB supports upto 1200MHz RAM

I'd suggest trying only 1 stick. if it works, put the other(s) back in, but not in dual channel mode and try it like that. If you can get it to boot with 1 stick, check the voltage the board has allotted for the RAM, as I find my boards tend to give it too little voltage. GOOD LUCK

Yup, it's proably a RAM voltage issue.
