[Question] Nvidia 7150m Overclock help

Hello, im kindof new to this website, and im pretty sure i did something stupid. Ive been reading up on overclocking GPU's and i heard of the "Coolbits" thing and installed that, so now my "Nvidia Control Panel" has the option to raise the Clock Speed and Memory clock (Screenshot Attached), the problem im having is that when i first went into the settings the "Factory Settings" said that the Core Clock = 425 and the Memory Clock = 0 , when i tried to change the core clock speed it said "Your selection is invalid and will not be applied" it was only when i changed the "Memory Clock" that it would let me change the core clock, the problem is that i have no idea what thee actual Memory clock is suppose to be, so im afraid that i might be setting it higher or lower than it is suppose to be, any help is appreciated also my GPU temperatures are between 68c at idle, and 90c while playing games. Also, something that has been eating at me since i got my computer, is that wehn i play games after i play for a certain ammount of time, usually about 20 mins, the game suddenly gets low framerate/laggy, im assuming its because of the video card because my computers hardware is easily capable of playing these games, like counter strike source on low quality. i thought it could be from GPU overheating, and iw as wondering if theres a way to keep the temp down? (If anyone could solve that problem i would be extremely happy) Thank you for your help, sorry for the massive ammount of reading

Here are my specs incase needed

HP Pavilion 2740se
3gb DDr2 RAM
Nvidia MCP67M, (Geforce 7150m, nForce 630m)
AMD64x2 2.1ghz Processor,

anything else you need just ask, thank you for the help.

Try one of those Notebook coolers, they sit under the laptop and have 2 fans built in. Also they are powered by a USB connector. 90 is stupid hot for most stand-alone cards, not sure about a laptops though...

I have a laptop thats REALLY close to that one sitting next to me, adn id get slow-downs after a while of playing on it, turns out my knee was blocking the cooling fan....

In general, its not reccomended to OC a laptop, cooling is absolutly minimal for the hardware, and the hardware isnt of a great quality. I believe the mem is reading "0" because the card pulls from the systems overall ram.

use nvidia sytem tools, download it from the nvidia official website and install it. after that go to nvidia control panel, you'll see a performance menu on the left side (on the drop down menu), accept the T&C to unlock it. once in the menu, click the save button (on the right side of the word 'profile') and you can save it by any name (by default it'll be nvsutil.nsu). on the top of the control panel, you can see menu like File, Edit, View etc....select Profile>Load. it'll open the folder where your profile is saved. right click on the profile to open and edit it using notepad.

find the line below, for example;
GPUCOREMHZ0=550
GPUMEMMHZ0=666
GPUSHADERMHZ0=0

now you can edit those number to overclock it. for the memory, to be save you can set it to 333 since that's the default speed of your system RAM. basically since your IGP relies on system memory you can put any number here (except 0 ) and it won't affect anything. after you finish editing, save it and load the profile.
