Antec Nine Hundred LOUD - Page 4

i have to say this the antic 900 is a good case for cooling

if set up right, with good fans, it will not be a loud case as Htreag has pointed out

ive got an amour + and i have 4 case fans (one is a big 200mm on the side)
3x 120mm
1 is right on the frount blowing air on to the HDD's there is one right after blowing air towords the GFx card (8800GT)

last one is is on the rear blowing the air off from the cpu fan.

now there is room for 3 more fans, 1 on top and 2 blowing air from the bottom of the case, i am half tempted to get one for the top hot air rises an all.... and i dont see how that would intarup air flow

Stock fans on low is NOT loud at all, even with 5 of these & a fan controller it's not bad at all. Mine sat in my living room by the couch & was barely audible @ 3'.

I don't find it that loud honestly but sound doesn't really bother me unless I'm studying or reading and I find the Antec 900 bareable. Set all the fans on low and the case is pretty quiet.

Oh, I should probably add to my previous post and say that; air takes the path of least resistance when flowing through a case, which is why I need the side fan to blow it down into the chipset cooler, otherwise it just goes up and over it. So while that "interrupts the airflow", that's the whole point, you want the air to go through the heatsinks to remove the heat, it still gets blown out the back/top in the end.
