Why is koolance not good - Page 5

Hey Joe, They will be telling us to isolate and insulate each component to stop galvanic corrosion pretty soon...It must be about time for aluminum love again, doesn't seem like it been 3 months already does it........Never fails...Overpriced junk...IMHO...

Forgot to add: If Koolance wants a real heat review have them contact me.

I will throw it on the heat pig, CPU loop only, and we will see how it does after 12 hours of OCCT. I already know what the current loop is capable of, 55C. I'd bet a good chunk of change my temps head up to 70+C, just like the old air cooler did.

well, the only solution to all this galvanic corrosion is pretty obvious.

Plastic waterblocks.

Plastic waterblocks.
Or perhaps using all of one metal in the loop, brass and copper close enough.

I bought two G80 waterblock from them. It killed two XFX xxx 8800 gtx before I realized the waterblock couldn't properly touch the GPU chip. According to Kooland I had to "grind" the waterblock 1 or 2 mmms...
Hopefully XFX accepted to RMA my cards.
Recently I bought a few quick disconnect from them, it's nickel plated. So far it works amazing. You can can disconnect your waterblock put another one in your loop without the need to redo everything.
My point is, no matter what company you try sometime the quality is good sometime it's bad. Of course there is a trend but not always.
I used to think also that thermaltake is bad but their toughpower PSU work like a charm.
So check professionnal review and take biase opinion with a pinch of salt (can I say that in english? ).

I'm instituting Rule #13 and leaving this alone.

EDIT: Apparently it's rule #14 now.... ( see the rules )
I think that was written FOR OCN

[Well, some of the members]

Koolance may be ok for you

I prefer self built WC systems, more personality, better cooling and its YOURS
