To the original poster, you only have a 680i in your sig rig? Getting a new mobo as well?
that's a huge increase in fps. I found that with SLI, 3dmark06 went up by about 2000 marks, while fps in the crysis benchmark tool went up from 52 fps with a single card 8 fps, to about 60 fps

Just my two cents. I just find that with the money you'll dish out on a new PSU and some more 8800GTX, the money could've been spent wisely elsewhere.

Good luck on your choice though

LOL.. If i dont break at least 24k you can have the 3x8800GTX

Sublime0, are you getting a new motherboard?

I don't think tri sli can be run on a 680i?

I agree It's more for benchers rather than immediate needs in terms of gaming. I mean, visually im not sure you'll even notice the difference

Yes. Maybe a 680A1 or a 780 or 790. Not sure yet. But this is something im dedicated to.

As long as I can get my E 8400 back to 4.6ghz under water I will be happy. The only dissadvantage im finding for the Nforce 6 is the lack of support for 45nm Quads.

And more of a bencher than gamer

In cod4 with a single GTX i am around 80-150 most of the time. With SLI it never dips below 100. Single card i dip to 50.
