loving my 8800gt but have some issues

Thread Starter
Alright guys I started acting like a ten year kid once I got my PC all hooked up and installed xp X64 bit on. I had a few problems one of them being that x64 is a real waste of money because there are a lot of games(including Crysis) which don't run properly they crash to the desktop or freeze.

But bought the XP 32bit and things started working alright.

But WOW what a card the 8800gt is This card is awesome. I will go SLi but probably around xmas time when things are cheaper.

[b]Enough raving about the card LOL now for the ranting!!

My case gets extremely hot(even though its the "hush") and so does the everything else inside the case. Is that normal? and with that oblivion starts to lag a bit get like 30 fps which is not right considering according the benchmark maxing out oblivion should give over 60 fps but I get around 30-40 fps. I have the latest 175.16 drivers 32bit version my nforce mobo drivers are all also the latest so what gives?

I can tell you I maxed out Crysis(including AA and resolution) and that Games ran awesome(don't know what the all the complaining about) but got great results I did get the occasional lag but you get those things. And the AI aren't dumb either I suck at fps and the AI is too good for me or I must be right

Suggest or give me the best ingame setting to make it look 1000 times better like the screenshots I posted earlier.Input would be greatly appreciated

The other issue is that Splinter cell DA worked(x64 was the problem) however, once I quit out of the game the color went really bad i.e. my screen resolution went into 4 bit color that reminded me of windows 3.1 . I had do to system restore to remove DA so what gives why didn't it like those drivers? I haven't tired the patches i.e. 1.02 and 1.03 but what else could be the problem.

Input would be greatly appreciated

should change your vid card from ATI to nvidia :-P haha

and it should be the heat that card does get hot that with the stock heatsink it should be mroe than capable of what your demanding...unless you overclocked it?
