I got my E7200 on friday and got it stable at 3.610 @ 1.21825vcore, 380*9.5. Yesterday I was having a few game crashes and couldn't isolate why. Then I started to think about my fsb and SPP voltages as I had set them to 1.4 like I did for my conroe and remembered that stock for the wolfdale these were 1.2. So I kept my vcore the same and put fsb and spp volts on auto and everything is good to go. When I get home today I will go into bios and see what those auto settings were and make the same with manual but I'm betting it lowered them.

cpu-z validation and 3dmark06 scores in my sig.

I'm brand new here, and have achieved 3.6GHZ... But it took me 1.32V via Auto...

If my VID is 1.125, what voltages will push me past 3.6? I heard not to apply more than 1.32vcore.

I'm in...3.0 GHz @ stock voltage. Nothing serious 'til I upgrade my heatsink.
e7200 @ 3GHz stock cooling and voltage. Mid 30s idle and high 40s/low 50s under load according to RealTemp.

Planning on buying one of those Xigmatek coolers sometime this summer to bump it up to ~3.6-3.8.

I just got a E-7200 today for my wife's system. The build is incomplete, but I am looking forward to seeing how it measures up to my system once I get it stable. I put the 7200 into an Asus P5Q deluxe with 2gigs of crucial ballistix in an antec 300 case. Without an operating system I can't do any tests but the Asus bios looks fairly easy to work with. Will have results up soon! Cheers

Good buy if you overclock that E7200 to 3.8 it will be out performing your Q9300 @ stock . Your wife will be impressed with the performance increase

The E7200 can achieve 3GHz on stock cooling
