Folding noob: Question

Thread Starter
sorry if this is the wrong section...

my user statistics says i only have one active processor in the past seven days. Ive been folding for several days straight and my cpu usage is never over 30 percent.

Why is only one core being utilized?

You need the high performance SMP client for dual and quad cores, the other client will only use one core and yield much less points.

EDIT: http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther Get the one that says version 5.91 beta6

There's a way to do multiple cores with non-SMP, but it's complicated, and I forget how to do it. There might be a sticky in the Folding Section or something.

1. i installed the top one listed on that page. How do i know all four cores are being used?

2. I notice this version doesnt have a GUI, is that supposed to be like that?

3. also, i installed this one without uninstalling the old version, and when i ran the new F@H it already had my team and username. that right?
