If I was building, it would be about the time the new cards come out

That would be nice. In that case, you probably should drop the solid state drives, and get a pair of 74GB Raptors (I, for one, am not yet convinced by the Velocitiraptors. Yeah, they'll be fast, but expensive also.)

The only concern about phase that I have is: how are you going to showcase it? will people be allowed to get close to it? I'd hate to see that a customer inadveredly turns off the phase change cooler....

You'd also have to worry about sound with a phase change setup.

If you do that, you may want to enclose the entire system (minus monitor+kb+mouse) in a thick glass case. It'll solve the problem of the customers and the sound.

We'll they'd just look at it, maybe let them mess around on the desktop for a bit, open a few apps to demo speed and stuff, let them play a bit of crysis etc. The business will provide high-ish end PCs locally, pretty much the same level as the rigs you'd see here
post #46 of 93
The question is also: how will demo-ing phase change increase your sales? I think watercooling is a better option, since it's actually a feasonable method of cooling for at least a good number of your potential clients, while phase change is only used by a select few.

Have you thought about setting up multiple rigs? Something like: hey, for €1000, you can get this; for €1500, this is possible, and for €2500 this is the best of the best.
